Franklin E. Doyle, 72, of Kirksville, MO, formerly of Marseilles, passed away peacefully on February 29th at 4:05 a.m. surrounded by his family.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Bowl Rite Lanes in Marseilles, IL.

Frank was born January, 8, 1952, in Ottawa, IL, to Lillian Burress. On May 12, 1995, he married Bonnie Truitt of Ottawa.

Franklin was employed as a machine operator at Nabisco. He also bartended at Bowl Rite Lanes for many years before moving to Missouri. There he became a maintenance manager at Heritage House Reality in Kirksville until his retirement. He had a quick wit and twisted sense of humor that made him loved by so many. He enjoyed fishing, especially catching Crappie on Horseshoe Lake.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie of Kirksville, children, Jackie Naas and Jennifer Stewart, both of Marseilles; two step-children, Nick Truitt of Bolingbrook, IL and Gina Truitt of Kirksville, MO; his grandchildren, Bradley (Tanya) Anderson, Billy (Lauren) Anderson, Haley and Abby Stock, and Gabe and Chloe Ratliff; his great-grandchildren, Brynleigh and Madison Engel, Corbyn, Blair, Alayna, and Rylee Anderson; and his close cousin, Ken Read, who was like a son to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Corky and Lillian Goodin; his brother, David Read; and his sister, Bernice Frig.
