Hermine (Mimi) M. Harris, 95, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Willow Grove in Sherwood, Arkansas.

Born September 26, 1929 in Munich, Germany. In December 1947 in Kirksville, Missouri, Mimi was united in Marriage to Burrel N. Harris who preceded her in death September 18, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter Barbara McIntosh and one son Walter Harris.

Mimi is survived by her son Michael Harris and wife Josi of Sherwood, AR, daughter Heidi Schmidt and husband Jim of Monett, MO, daughter-in-law Jane Harris of Kirksville, MO; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mimi resided most of her life in Adair county. She supported her husband on the farm for many years. She also worked at Hollister Inc. in Kirksville until eventually retiring. Late in life Mimi moved to Arkansas to live closer to her son where she remained until her death.
Mimi enjoyed gardening, bird watching, snow skiing, camping and traveling with her husband to many places including Germany where Mimi was from. Most recent travels lead Mimi to Panama Central America traveling with her son Michael and daughter-in-law. Mimi was a fan of the TV show Wheel of Fortune.

A private family graveside service will be held at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville Sunday, December 29, 2024 with Pastor Ralph Wheeler officiating.

No public visitation or service will be held and arrangements were taken care by Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Mimi may be made to the National Audubon Society and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
