Mary Ann (McLain) Baker, 54, of Macon, Missouri, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

The daughter of the late Clifford Gavin and Phyllis Irene (Eastwood) McLain, she was born June 24, 1969 in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, David and Dewayne McLain.

Mary is survived by two brothers, Matt McLain of LaPlata, MO, and Christian McLain of Atlanta, MO; two sisters, Melinda (Brian) Gray and Cindy (Steve) Teter all of Atlanta, MO; two nieces, Jordan Teter and Alaina Gray; aunts and uncles, Hiram and Bonnie McLain, Melvin and Carolyn Eastwood, Allene Coffman, Pat Eastwood, and Mary Eastwood; six nephews, Zachary Gray, Chase Gray, Dalton Teter, Tishawn McLain, Brylynn McLain, and Ryker McLain as well as a number of cousins and friends..

Mary was a graduate from Atlanta High School and received a BA in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri. She taught the majority of her thirty year career as a first grade teacher at Macon R-1 in Macon, Missouri.

Mary enjoyed playing the piano and horse back riding, but most of all she loved time spent with her family and friends.

Mary was a member of Church of God Holiness of Macon.

No public visitation will be held. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023 at Church of God Holiness in Macon, under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville. Pastor Ralph Wheeler and Pastor Brandon Speak will officiate the service and interment will follow at Old Chariton Cemetery north of Callao, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be Chase Gray, Dalton Teter, Steve Teter, Brian Gray, Zachary Gray, and Ryan Dawson. Honorary pallbearers will be Christian McLain and Matt McLain.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mary may be made to Macon Church of God Holiness or to Old Chariton Cemetery and may be left at the Church of God Holiness or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
