Maxine Rigdon, 97, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023. Maxine was born to Estal and Clara Epperson on May 27, 1926, in Kirksville, Missouri. On July 31, 1943, she married Terrill Rigdon, who preceded her in death on February 4, 1985.

She is survived by two Sons, Larry T. Rigdon (Jan) of Houston, Texas, and Terry F. Rigdon DDS (Denise) of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Maxine’s greatest joys were her four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren: Matthew M. Rigdon (Julia); Megan R. Cannizzaro (Ryan); Jon E. Vandrell (Katie); and Andrea E. Terry (Josh); Mazie, Dode, and Wally Rigdon; Reagan and Cornelia Cannizzaro; Brenden and Lexi Terry; and Zoe, Lucy, and Rosie Vandrell.

Maxine was a lifelong resident of Kirksville and only relocated in 2019 to Tulsa to be near family. Maxine worked in retail and did not retire from Sierens Palace until her relocation at age 93. She loved her customers and friends and worked for many years at Mamselle’s Fashion and Montgomery Ward.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 22, at Travis-Noe Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and a reception and celebration of life will be held at Travis-Noe following the interment at Parkview Memorial Gardens.
