Ricky Lynn Briddle of Kirksville, MO passed on Wednesday, Nov. 15th at the LaPlata Nursing Home. Born March 27, 1953, he was the son of Glenn & Carm Briddle of Kirksville, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by one brother, Garry and wife Connie Briddle of Kirksville; two nieces, Brandie Briddle of Lake Ozark and son Brendon McDermott of Springfield, MO, and Brockell Briddle of Costa Rica, and one nephew Brady Briddle and wife Jill (Schmitz) Briddle and their two daughters Tulianna and Tallulah Briddle of Burnt Ranch, California.

Ricky grew up in Kirksville and was baptized along with his mother Carm, and later became a long-time member of the First Christian Church. Ricky enjoyed social activities, church gatherings, and dancing on Saturday night at the VFW. He also loved the state fair, traveling, and camping with his family.

Kirksville was his hometown where he resided his entire life of 70 years. He loved this community, his friends, and his family. If you have spent much time in Kirksville, it is very likely you have crossed paths with Ricky Briddle. You may have prayed with him at church, seen him waving a flag at a local parade, or heard his voice loudly cheering for the Kirksville Tigers, or the Truman State Bulldogs. Perhaps you saw him at the NEMO Fair, farmers market, or yard sales. Whether you knew him or not, you will realize that Kirksville just lost a true local character.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville with Pastor Mark Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 19, 2023 for one hour before the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Ricky may be made to his brother, Garry Briddle and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
