Donald Wayne Baker, 87, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
Born March 31, 1935 in Moberly, Missouri, Donald was the son of the late John Franklin and Ethel Dean (Roberts) Baker. On April 3, 1954 in Moberly, Missouri, Donald was united in marriage to Joyce Ann Bond.
Donald is survived by his wife Joyce of sixty-eight years; daughter-in-law, Denise Baker of Novinger, Missouri; one grandson, Christopher Wayne Baker of Novinger, MO; one brother, Jerry Baker of Savannah, MO; and one sister-in-law, Donna Bond of Kirksville, MO.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; one son, James Wayne Baker, and a sister-in-law, Alberta Selfridge.
Donald was a graduate of Moberly High School. From 1958 to 1960, Donald proudly serviced his country in the United States Army. Donald was honorably discharged and resided most of his life in Adair County. He was a machinist for McGraw Edison for a number of years. He devoted his life to God and was a member of Church of God Holiness in Kirksville. His hobbies included wood and medal working, wiring and Donald was known to be able to fix most anything.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Church of God Holiness in Kirksville, with Pastor Ralph Wheeler officiating. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. service time at Church of God Holiness.
