Sharyn Sue (Sawyer) Lovell, 76, of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Born January 7, 1946 in Kirksville, Missouri, Sharyn was the daughter of the late Virgil Neil Sawyer, Sr. and Mabel Irene (Moore) Goodson.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Cathy Roberts of Green Castle, MO; two daughters and a son-in-law, Tracey and David Jacobs of La Plata, MO, and Kelley Roberts of St. Louis, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Virgil and Judy Sawyer of Ocala, FL; five grandchildren, Rachel Jacobs, Tyler Munn, Lauren Munn, Dylan Roberts, and Jackie Kincanon; as well as six great-grandchildren.

Sharyn resided in Knox City, Kirksville, and La Plata receiving her education in the Knox County public school. She worked at the Kirksville Glove Factory and Hollister, Inc. in Kirksville for over 30 years.

Sharyn enjoyed mission cooking trips with the United Methodist Church, camping at Bennett Springs, sewing, reading, painting ceramics, and crafts. She was an animal lover and enjoyed her pets tremendously. She also enjoyed volunteering at the La Plata Food Pantry.

Sharyn was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Kirksville and the La Plata United Methodist Church. She was a member of the La Plata Unit of the United Methodist Women.

Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Knox City Cemetery in Knox City, Missouri.
