David Glen Deatrick, 77, of Columbia, Missouri, formerly of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at the University Missouri Medical Center in Columbia.

Born August 26, 1944 in Williamstown, Missouri, David was the son of the late Ernest Lee and Dora Mae (Tripp) Deatrick. On April 4, 1980 in Kirksville, Missouri, David was united in marriage to Minnie Walker who preceded him in death in 2014.

David is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James and Christine Deatrick of Moberly, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Brad Davis of Columbia, MO; daughter-in-law, Faith Marie and husband, Anthony of Spencer, IN; one sister, Linda Kauffman of Perry, IA; one brother and sister-in-law, Reverend Timothy and Lisa Deatrick of Waukee, IA; eleven grandchildren, as well as five great-grandchildren.

David was raised the son of a seventy-four year Baptist minister. He was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1962. David was employed twenty-two years at Florsheim Shoe Factory while also working as a mechanic for Smith Garage. David and his wife Minnie owned and operated at statuary business for fifteen years before her passing.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2022 at Novinger Cemetery in Novinger, with his brother Reverend Timothy Deatrick presiding.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Davis, Mason Davis, Walker Davis, Brad Davis, Cindy Fountain, and David Deatrick.
