Ira James Rouse, 61, of Unionville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas.

Ira was born on November 21, 1959 the son of the late Haynie and Darlene (Cogley) Rouse. He proudly served 16 years in the United States Navy, where he met his wife. Ira was joined in marriage to Evelyn Lee Riboli on April 20, 1985.

Ira is survived by his loving wife Evelyn of Unionville, MO; one son, Brian (Stephanie) Gonzales of Rathdrum, Idaho, four daughters: Andrea (Steve) Hill of Milan, MO, Christina (PJ) Hoy of Milan, MO, Rebecca (Mike) Ridnour of Fort Lewis, WA, and Jamie (Jacob) Bivens of Brookfield, MO, thirteen grandchildren: Sierra (Issac) Chamberlain, Elizabeth Buell, Logan Hill, Elijah Gonzales, Merrick Hoy, Willow Hoy, Dominic Ridnour, Parker Ridnour, McKenna Ridnour, Lily Bivens, Montana Bivens and Madison Bivens, one great-granddaughter, Ainsley Chamberlain; siblings: Dick (Jackie) Rouse, Peggy (Gary) Higginson, Nancy Curry, Donna (Bob) Ballard, and Brenda Newkirk, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jeanie Gordan.

Ira was a very loving husband, father, and "Papa". He enjoyed being outside hunting, fishing, working in his shed or playing with his dog "Bandit". Ira was a fighter, who taught his children to never give up. He will be greatly missed.

It was Ira's wish to be cremated and no service be held. Arrangement were taken care of by Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
