Duane John Maxymczak, 49, of Gibbs, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021 unexpectedly at his home.

The son of the late John W. and Annette Marie (Piovesan) Maxymczak, he was born May 9, 1972 in Allegheny County, PA. On June 6, 2004 in Macomb, Illinois, Duane was united in marriage to Barbara Nau.

Duane is survived by his wife Barbara of the home; one son Hunter Maxymczak of Gibbs, MO; one daughter, Alexei Mazymczak of Gibbs, MO; father-in-law of Michael Nau of Rapid City, South Dakota; mother-in-law, Audrey Adikkson of Roseville, IL, and brother-in-law, Michael Nau of Rapid City, South Dakota.

Duane graduated from high school in the State of PA. He resided in Macomb, Illinois until moving to Gibbs ten years ago to make his home. Duane was a D.J. who loved music, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and model trains and planes. He had been a stay a home dad since 2006.

Duane has been cremated and will be inurned with Military Honors will be held at Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville, Missouri.
