Rebecca Christie (Hargrave) Painter, 67, of Queen City, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021 at The Pines in Kirksville.

Born April 15, 1953 in Centerville, Iowa, Becky was the daughter of the late Vernon Lloyd and Victoria Juanita (Huff) Hargrave. In 1971, Becky married Ronnie Aldridge and to this union a son and daughter were born. She later married Richard Painter who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gail and Richard Hargrave.

Becky is survived by one son, Rex Aldridge of Queen City, MO; one daughter, Robin Aldridge of Queen City, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Vivian Hargrave of Cleveland, TN; one sister, Diana Scribner of Bradenton, FL; three very loved grandchildren, Alaena (Boyd Bradshaw) Aldridge of Livonia, MO, Zacharyah Aldridge and Maggie Aldridge both of Queen City, MO; several nieces and nephews, as well as her very loved terrier, Freckles.

Becky was a graduate from Queen City High School with the Class of 1972 and then went on to receive her Certified Medical Technician Certificate. Becky worked a number of years for the Schuyler County Nursing Home before going to work for Kirksville Manor Care in Kirksville where she was employed until her retirement.

It was Becky's wish to be cremated and her family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Interment will be held 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
