Lois Eilene (May) Chrisman, 72, of Green Castle, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at her home.
She was born December 8, 1948 in Kirksville, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph Sylvester and Norma Jean (Mason) May. On June 30, 1968 in Pure Air, Missouri, Lois was united in marriage to Roger Chrisman.
Lois is survived by her husband Roger of fifty-two years; daughter-in-law, Kara Chrisman of Clarksville, TN; one granddaughter, Ciara Chrisman of Clarksville, TN; three brothers, Fred May (Janet) of Milan, MO, Frank May (Sharon) of Kirksville, MO, and Bruce May (Charmyn) of Queen City, MO; four sisters, Lola Brownell (John) of Queen City, MO, Rita Brownell (Jim) of Collinsville, MO, Patty Albrecht of Milan, MO, and Rosey White of Madison, MO, as well a numerous nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, David Roger Chrisman in 1991 and Randy Joe Chrisman in 2005, as well as one brother, Russell May.
Lois was a graduate from Novinger High School with the Class of 1966. She was employed several years for Hollister, Inc. until becoming a stay at home mom of her two sons. Lois will be remembered for her love of family and for being an excellent quilter, gardener, and cook.
She and Roger attended the Assembly of God Church of Green City, Missouri.
Public visitation will be held from noon to 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2021 in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Alan Coonfield officiating. Interment will follow the service at Hazel Creek Cemetery, northwest of Kirksville.
