Charlene Lawson, 74, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.

The daughter of Charlie Edward and Helen Ella Virginia (Dover) Thompson, Charlene was born December 6, 1946 in Worthington, Missouri. Charlene was united in marriage on July 4, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Dwight Lawson, who preceded in death.

Charlene was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clint and Brent Thompson; one sister, Faye Thompson; and one brother-in-law, Johnny Vincent.

She is survived by one daughter, Kristie (Chris) Cerroni of Memphis, Missouri; one sister, Carolyn Vincent of Greentop, Missouri; one niece, Rhonda (Herb) Sandker; two nephews, Darrin (Julie) Vincent and Brian (Hilary) Vincent; two grandchildren, Chayton and Jared Cerroni; and several great nieces and nephews.

Charlene was a graduate of Queen City High School with the class of 1964. She was a member of Women of the Moose. Charlene enjoyed traveling, camping, visiting with her friends, and most of all, being with her grandsons.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Sonny Smyser presiding. Interment will follow in the Jim Town Cemetery near Queen City, Missouri.

Public visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 14, 2021.

Pallbearers will be Chris Cerroni, Chayton Cerroni, Jared Cerroni, David Crabtree, Brian Perry, and Bobby Withrow.
