Lola Avis (March) Lampe, 93, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at her home under the care of Hospice of Northeast Missouri.

The daughter of Josiah Winter and Fannie Edith (Bowen) March, she was born June 24, 1927 in Kirksville, Missouri. On April 14, 1954 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Lola was united in marriage to Vincent G. Lampe who preceded her in death on May 12, 2008 after fifty-four years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Lola was survived by two daughters, Sherry Stacey of Kirksville, MO, and Lisa Wehrend of Wentzville, MO; five grandchildren, Sarah Mitchell, Amanda Roby, Kayla Wehrend, Marissa Wehrend, and McKenna Wehrend; five great-grandchildren, as well as many great nieces and nephews that are part of our community.

Lola was a graduate from Kirksville High School and graduated from Kirksville Missouri State Teacher's College with a degree in English Education. She taught most of her life and gave of her time and talents constantly, always putting the needs of others formost in her mind. She was best known for her gracious smile and kind hearted nature. Lola will be remembered as the "Cookie Lady", and was greatly loved and will be missed by family and friends.

Private family graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2020 at Willmathsville Cemetery in Willmathsville under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
