William Stephen "Steve" O'Haver

William "Steve" O'Haver, 90, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away November 14, 2020 at Samaritan Hospital in Macon, Missouri.
He was born September 3, 1930 in Stahl, Missouri, Steve was the son of Melvin and Anna (Thorington) O'Haver. On September 20, 1951 in Mineral Wells, Texas, Steve was united in marriage to Lurah Harris who preceded him in death on January 18, 2006. He was also preceded in death by his son William "Bill" O'Haver, as well as several other family members.
Steve is survived by his children, Luanna Bowen of Hurdland, MO, Jeff (Mary) O'Haver of Kirksville, MO, Darryl (Roberta) O'Haver of Greentop, MO; his grandchildren, Michael (Stacy) O'Haver, Tammy O'Haver, Kelly O'Haver, Amy (Shawn) Morris, Kyle (Yesenia) O'Haver, Justin (Sabrina) O'Haver, Logan (Halie) Lowe, and Jordan (Salina) O'Haver; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great great-grandsons; several cousins, and one brother, Larry O'Haver of Davenport, IA.
Steve was a graduate from Novinger High School. He proudly served his
country in the United States Army from 1949 to 1953 during the Korean Conflict. In 1953, Steve returned to area and worked as a pipe fitter until his retirement. He then owned a car lot twenty-five plus years in Kirksville.
Steve spent several winter's in Texas, enjoyed dirt circle track racing, fishing, and working on cars. He also loved time spent with his family and grandchildren.
Steve was a member of the Moila Shrine Temple of St. Joseph, MO of Kirksville Shrine Club, of Kirksville V.F.W. Post 2508, and of the Kirksville Masonic Lodge #105 AF&AM.
Public visitation will be held Monday, November 23, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.
A private family graveside service with military honors will follow the visitation at Novinger Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy in memory of Steve may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
