Ellen Mae (Howes) Robeson, 89, of Queen City, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

Born December 6, 1929 in Kirksville, Missouri, Ellen was the daughter of the late Floyd Grant and Flossie Marie (Heaton) Howes. On March 9, 1952 in Kirksville, Missouri, Ellen was united in marriage to Edward Ray Robeson who preceded her in death on May 13, 2012 after sixty years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her twin brother and sister, Floyd and Treva Howes.

Ellen is survived by two daughters, Mary Ellen Middleton of Novinger, MO and Edna Rae Robeson of Kirksville, MO; five grandchildren, Jeremy Ray Middleton, Brad Middleton, Bonnie (Craig) Ives, Michael (Evelyn) Robeson, and Ashley Robeson; fourteen great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ellen was a graduate from Memphis High School in Memphis, Missouri. She worked along side of her husband on their dairy farm for over thirty years. She enjoyed raising a garden and spent over twenty-eight years selling at the farmers market. Ellen also enjoyed sewing, her pets, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Ellen will be interred on the family farm west of Queen City on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home and no public visitation will be held.
