Sally Ann (Turner) Crenshaw

Sally Ann Crenshaw, 84, of Kirksville, passed away peacefully at Kirksville Manor Care on Wednesday, January 23, 2019.
Born August 1, 1934, in Columbia, Missouri, she was the daughter of Birch and Jessie Bea (Nichols) Turner. On February 16, 1952, in Harrison, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Eugene (Gene) Leroy Crenshaw.
Surviving are one daughter, Vicki Munn and husband Mike of Kirksville, MO; one son, Randy Crenshaw and wife Linda of Kansas City, MO; two grandchildren, Jason Munn of Kansas City, MO and Joshua Munn of Kirksville, MO, and two great-grandchildren, Jerin and Kay Lynn Munn both of Kansas City, MO.
She was preceded in death by husband Eugene (Gene) Leroy Crenshaw in 2006, one son, Gary, her mother and father Bea and Birch Turner, and one sister, Judy Twenter of Columbia, MO.
Sally spent her childhood in Columbia, MO and graduated from Hickman High school where she excelled in athletic and school activities including membership in GAA, art and music groups. Sally and husband Gene moved to Kirksville, MO in 1953 where she was a loving mother raising her children while being socially active in the community, including membership at the Kirksville Country Club, and doing various volunteer work. Sally and Gene were avid golfers and enjoyed a long retirement in various communities in the Phoenix, AZ area from 1984 until moving back to Kirksville in 2002.
Sally's wish was to be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.
