Major Allen F. Jackson, USAF (RET) passed away Monday October 22, 2018 at Kirksville Manor Care Center in Kirksville.

Born October 3, 1942 in Weidman, Michigan, Allen was the son of Charles and Gertrude (Phipps) Jackson. Allen grew up in Saginaw, MI and graduated from Saginaw High School. Allen enlisted in the USAF in 1961 and served twenty-four years. On January 21, 1967, Allen and Patricia Anne Deierling were united in marriage at the Hamilton Street Baptist Church in Kirksville, MO.

Allen attended Kirksville State Teachers College, graduated from CSU Fort Collins, CO and received his MBA from Troy State University. He worked as a Vocational Teacher III at the Chillicothe Correctional Center and retired in 2002.

Allen enjoyed hunting, farming, and watching football and westerns.

Allen is survived by his wife Patricia of fifty-one years, two sons Mark (Jiji) Jackson of Springfield, VA and Michael Jackson of Kirksville, MO; one brother Larry (Lynda); three sisters, Betty (Butch), Linda (Cliff), and Anne (John); brothers-in-law, Cliff Deierling and Allen Deierling (Sharyn); sisters-in-law, Karen Hoselton and Diane Jackson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his three grandchildren Sarah, Daniel, and Jenna who he loved dearly.

Allen was a member of the Kirksville Church of the Nazarene.

Family will receive friends Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service following at 11:00 a.m. at the Kirksville Church of the Nazarene.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kirksville Church of the Nazarene.

Allen has been cremated and will be interred with military honors at a later date at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
