Gregory "Greg" Jon Navis

Gregory Jon Navis, 60, of Atlanta, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, after battling Leukemia, with family by his side.
The son of John and Edyth (VanderMeer) Navis, he was born March 1, 1957 in Waupun, Wisconsin. On May 6, 1981 in Marshalltown, Iowa, Greg was united in marriage to Marilea Ann Perkins, who survives.
Greg is also survived by one son, Jonathan Navis and wife April of Green Castle, Missouri; two daughters, Amy Anderson and husband Curtis of La Plata, Missouri, and Addie Perkins of Columbia, Missouri; his mother of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin; one honorary daughter, Amber Richards of Minnesota; two sisters, Priscilla Buteyn of Waupun, Wisconsin, and Susan Shookman of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin; thirteen grandchildren, Sierra, Isaiah, Haley, Autumn, Zack, Jason, Orion, Melody, Mark, Emma, Annabelle, Adam, and Noah; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and step-daughter, April Perkins.
Greg lived in Kirksville before moving to Atlanta a few years ago. Before retiring, he was employed as a crane operator at M. Gervich and Sons.
Greg enjoyed fishing, working on cars, riding motorcycles, playing with his grandkids, camping and traveling. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Kirksville.
Greg has been cremated and a memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Kirksville.
Arrangements are under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.
