Charles James Lowe, 69, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville. Charles was born June 2, 1948 in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Jennings B. and Dorothy J. (Burton) Lowe.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Kathy Peterson; and two siblings in infancy.

He is survived by two nephews, Jason Peterson and fiancée, Crystal Lee, and Justin Peterson; five great nephews, Grant Horton, Zachary Peterson, Zakary Payton, Sean Payton, and Chase Lee; one great-great nephew, Gannon Horton; and special friend Ann Lowe.

Charles enjoyed puzzle books, scratch-off tickets, and was a big St. Louis Cardinal fan.

Charles has been cremated and there will be a private family service at a later date.
