Hubert Dale Martin, 80, of Novinger, Missouri, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017, at Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville.

The son of Paul T. and Vera V. (Phipps) Martin, he was born November 14, 1936 in Stahl, Missouri. On May 25, 1957 in Lancaster, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Norma Jo Ronchetto, who preceded on May 29, 1998.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald and Marvin Martin.

Hubert is survived by two sons, Marty Martin and wife Sandi of Novinger, and Jeff Martin and wife Colleen of Novinger; two daughters, Shonda Wood and Mike Burkeybile of Macon, Missouri, and Rhonda Blacksmith and husband Kelly of La Plata; one sister, Karen Filkins of Brookline, Missouri; nine grandchildren: Kale Calhoun, Nathan Calhoun, Kelli Nichole Partin, Joe Blacksmith, Chasiti Peavler, Chelsea Halley, Misty Brewer, Angie Read and Tyson Martin; sixteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Hubert lived all his life in Novinger and graduated from Novinger High School. He was employed as a floor layer, truck driver and self-employed roofer.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing music, and driving his golf cart to Kirksville to have a drink with friends. Hubert's family would like to give a special "thank-you" to all his friends in Novinger who looked after him, allowing him to continue living on his own.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 6, 2017, at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Sheila Swafford officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Novinger Cemetery in Novinger.

A public visitation will be held with the family receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Sunday, August 6, 2017, in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Kale Calhoun, Nathan Calhoun, Joe Blacksmith, Tyson Martin, Cameron Partin, Jesse Peavler and Tyler Halley. Honorary pallbearers will be J.D. Miller, Marion Miller, Dave Hidebrand, Richie Roan, Justin Talbert, Terry Martin, Veron Salisbury and Ronnie Cuculich.
