Gertrude Rouse of Novinger, Missouri went to her heavenly home on her 100th birthday (July 27, 2017). She was born in Connelsville, Missouri on July 27, 1917. On September 2, 1934, she married Ivan E. Rouse, who preceded her in death on October 8, 1992.

Also preceding her were her daughter, Ina Childers; her parents, Bert and Ethel Bell; brothers Albert (in childhood), Mack, Harry, Robert and Charles Bell; granddaughter Kathy Grgurich; great granddaughter Cheyenne Kuehn (at birth) and one grandson-in-law, Jim Fanning.

Surviving are a son, Danny Rouse and wife Elfriede of Independence, Missouri; son-in-law Donald Childers of Novinger, Missouri; sister-in-law Imogene Bell of Novinger; four grandchildren: Mike Rouse and wife Jane of Kearney, Missouri; Jason Rouse of Parkville, Missouri; Christy Fanning of Winnegan, Missouri; and Donna Kuehn of Coffeyville, Kansas; and grandson-in-law, Mark Grgurich of Shibleys Point, Missouri.

Eight great grandchildren: Eric Grgurich and wife Tara of Kirksville, Missouri; Clint Grgurich of Shibleys Point, Missouri; Belinda Hill of Novinger, Missouri; Julie Sayre of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Kara Hunt and Wes Goosey of Columbia, Missouri; Micheala and Kylee Rouse of Kearney, Missouri; as well as 15 great-great-grandchildren, three great-great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Gertrude spent her life in Novinger and the surrounding area. Her greatest love was God, husband and family.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday (August 5, 2017) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Alan Coonfield officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Novinger Cemetery in Novinger, Missouri.

Family will receive friends on Saturday (August 5, 2017) from 1:00 p.m. until service time in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.
