Matthew Lee Corbett, 39, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017.

The son of Clifford Lee and Amber Gail (Hardwick) Corbett. He was born October 23, 1977 in Kirksville, Missouri.

Matthew is survived by his parents Clifford and Amber Corbett of Kirksville, MO; two daughters, Hannah and Emilie Corbett of Janesville, WI; one sister and brother-in-law, Dawn and David Stephenson of Morris, IL; his fiancée, Jessie Schoonover of Kirksville, MO, two nieces, as well as a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Matthew was a graduate from Morris Community High School in Morris, IL with the Class of 1995 and attended Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, AZ. He resided in Madison, WI, where he was employed by Affiliated Engineers. Later employment by Air Products and Butters-Fetting as a plumbing engineer. In 2012, Matthew moved to Kirksville, Missouri and was employed by Home Depot for several years before going to work for Sprocket Technologies.

Matthew was a member of The Crossing in Kirksville.

Receiving of family and friends will be held in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., Sunday, July 30, 2017. Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Greentop Cemetery in Greentop.

Pallbearers will be Brad Ray, Jeff Bergman, Dennis Carbocci, Eddie Solmirin, Alex Shields, and Jesse Nelson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charlie Robertson, Frank Birch, Dwayne James and Gideon Stewart.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Matthew Corbett may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association and/or to the Wyatt Guest House (lodging and caring for cancer patients and families) located in Columbia, MO.
