Roger Jay Jarman, 59, of La Plata, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 22, 2017 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO.

The son of Roger Dean and Mary Evelyn (Magers) Jarman, he was born on August 9, 1957 in Kirksville, MO. Roger was united in marriage to Patricia Louise McKenzie on June 4, 1976 and to this union one son was born.

He is survived by his son Jeremy Jarman and wife Heather of Elmer, MO; his parents of La Plata, MO; one sister Lana Daniels and husband Mike of La Plata, MO; and two grandchildren, Hadley and Judson Jarman.

Roger was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Roger was a life long resident of Macon County and received his education in the La Plata R-II schools. He was employed with Farmers Mutual Insurance Company and ran cattle on the family's fifth generation farm for several years. Roger was a member of Loyal Order of Moose (lodge #1751) of Kirksville and past member of the JC's.

He enjoyed going to auctions, sale barns, hauling cattle and collecting toy tractors. Jeremy and his family were his life.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Virgil Jones presiding. Interment will follow the service at Indian Hills Cemetery near Gifford, MO.

Public visitation will be held Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Ambrosia, Kirby Bailey, David Gunnels, Jason Wood, Chris Pinson, and Greg Love. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Gunnels, Don Neese, Jay Matticks, Anthony Ambrosia, David Jackson, Mike Daniels, Hadley Jarman and Judson Jarman.
