Bill Duane Capps, 85, of Novinger, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, Missouri.

Born July 22, 1932 in Stahl, Missouri, Bill was the son of the late Hallie Kline and Felma (Frost) Capps. On July 3, 1954 in Kirksville, Missouri, Bill was united in marriage to Dorva Marie Ray who preceded him in death on July 29, 2010. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Foster.

Bill is survived by one son, Randy Capps of Kansas City, KS; five brothers, Harold Capps of Des Moines, IA, Kline Capps of Storm Lake, IA, and Terry Capps, Randy Capps and Alan Capps all of Kirksville, MO; two sisters, Kay Magruder and Hallene Lloyd both of Kirksville, MO; three grandchildren, Jennifer Totsch of Novinger, MO, Becky Prough of Queen City, MO, and Vanessa Craig of Browning, MO; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Bill was a graduate from Kirksville High School and resided most of his life in Novinger. He served in the United States Air Force. Bill retired in 1995 from Truman State University after several years of employment.

Bill enjoyed motorcycles, hunting and fishing, and was always working on a project of some kind.

It was Bill's wish to be cremated and no service be held. He will be interred at a later date at Novinger Cemetery in Novinger, MO. Arrangements were taken care of by Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
