Robert Alan "Bob" Cook, 67, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly Saturday (June 11, 2016) at the Finger Lake State Park in Columbia, Missouri.
Bob was born April 14, 1949 in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of the late Judd Kenneth and Pauline Frances (Montgomery) Cook.
Bob is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Chrissy Cook of Kirksville, MO; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carmen and Ryan Stewart of Novinger, MO, and Briana and Kurt Downing of Kirksville, MO; one sister, Arlean Ford of Gardner, KS; nine grandchildren, Nichole Cook, Makenna Cook, Marshall Cook, , Nikala Cook, Riley Stewart, Chloe Stewart, Lake Downing, Landrew Downing and Langston Downing, as well as two nephews, James Ford, and Kold Ford, and one niece, Michelle Frankland.
Bob was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1967. He owned and operated his own construction business (Cook Construction) for a number of years.
Bob played the guitar, was in a pool league, enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, camping, and motorcycle riding, but most of all loved time spent with his family.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday (June 16, 2016) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Harold Engel officiating. Interment will follow the service at Pleasant Home Cemetery near Worthington, Missouri.
Public visitation will be held on Thursday, (June 16, 2016) from noon to 2:00 p.m. service time in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Makenna Cook, Marshall Cook, Riley Stewart, Ryan Stewart, Kurt Downing, and James Ford.
