Kimberly Danen McKim passed away Tuesday May 17, 2016 in Baring, Missouri, from terminal cancer.

She is the daughter of John McKim of Kirksville, Missouri, and Barbara Salsberry Burke of Baring, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Edwin and Margie Salsberry, Charles McKim and Gladys Claybrook.

She is survived by her parents and siblings, Charles McKim of Kirksville, Shawn McKim of Kirksville, Tasha McKim of Edina, Missouri, Janet Kracht of New York, Adam McKim of New York, and Jeremiah McKim of Kirksville; and many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins. Kim had four children, Daniel McKim of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Kenny Floyd of Kirksville, Amber Floyd of Kirksville, Latisha Floyd of Kirksville; four grandchildren, Kailyn and Shanynn Klataske, Gabrial Muzolf and Laithen Floyd.

Kim received her education at Kirksville Schools where she received an award for the 800 meter run. Later she received a certificate for Solid Waste Tech. where she worked for seventeen years at the Rye Creek Landfill.

Kim was happiest when she was surrounded by her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed outings and fishing, and family gatherings involving food and good times. She was a great person but most importantly a great mother and daughter. Kim had many great qualities, but it was her unconditional love and loyalty to her family (especially her children) that stood apart from the rest. Kim will be greatly missed by her friends and loved ones! Kim wouldn't want us to say goodbye right now but instead until we meet again.

Funeral services will be held Monday (May 23, 2016) at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home with Pastor David McKim presiding. Interment will follow the service at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.

Public visitation will be held Sunday (May 22, 2016) with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Frankie Salsberry, Bobby Salsberry, Billy Salsberry, Eddie Salsberry , Vernon Salsberry and Larry Burke.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kim's name, made to Barbara Burke. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
