Albert Lowell McLin, 87, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday (October 26, 2016) at his home under Hospice care.

The son of Boon and Jessie May (Kelley) McLin, he was born September 2, 1929 in Steffinville, Missouri.

Albert served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and later as a Merchant Marine. He then worked on the railroad until moving to Kirksville, Missouri. Albert was employed a number of years for Northeast Missouri State (now Truman State University) until retiring. After retirement, Albert enjoyed driving for OATS Transportation.

Albert is survived by two nephews, Jack Moots of Kirksville, MO, and Doug Moots of Columbia, MO, and one niece, Kelly Jo Crossland of Wichita, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.

It was Albert's wish to be cremated and a Memorial Service with Military honors will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday (November 3, 2016) at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri.

No public visitation will be held and arrangements will be under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
