Maria Lynn (Gray) Murray, 42, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Thursday (September 10, 2015) at her home under Hospice care.

The daughter of William Thomas and Barbara Ellan (Walker) Gray, she was born January 8, 1973 in Kirksville, Missouri.

Maria is survived by her parents Tom and Barbara Gray of Kirksville, MO; her grandmother Pat Walker of Princeton, IA; one daughter, Samantha Murray of Kirksville, MO; two step-daughters, Krista and Rachel Murray both of Columbia, MO; three brothers, Bill Gray, Andy Gray and Greg Gray all of Hurdland, MO, and several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Murray, and her grandparents, Harley and Winnie Walker, and Nadene and Harold Gray.

Maria lived most of her life in Knox County and was a graduate from Knox County R-I High School. She was a very accomplished and talented artist who loved sketching pictures, she wrote many short stories and was very crafty. Maria had resided in Kirksville, the past thirteen years.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday (September 13, 2015) with family receiving friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Chaplain Carrol Davenport and Dale Cameron presiding.

It was Maria's wish to be cremated following her service.
