Michael Anthony Mennemeyer, 64, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday (June 17, 2015) at his home.

The son of Cyril Anton and Georgia Lorene (King) Mennemeyer he was born August 1, 1950 in Evanston, Illinois. On April 24, 2010 in Kirksville, Missouri, Michael was united in marriage to Betty Lou Martin.

Michael is survived by his wife Betty of the home; step-son, Martin Doty of Oceana, CA; two step-daughters, Michelle Doty of Kirksville, MO and Jennifer Doty of Wheeling, IL; one grandson, Froylan Doty; two sisters, Kathy Schwartz of Sugarland, TX and Pat Fifield of Phoenix, AZ, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Michael was a graduate from Glenbrook North High School in Northbrook, IL. He was 17-years-old when drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served with the 173rd Airborne in Vietnam. Michael also received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology at Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville. He was a self employed painter in the area.

Michael has been cremated and a service to honor his life will be held at a later date.
