Martha Lynne "Marti" (McLaughlin) Jelmberg, 53, of Novinger, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (June 16, 2015) at her home.

The daughter of James and Cecilia (Alberts) McLaughlin, she was born September 20, 1961 in Keokuk, Iowa. On June 6, 1981 in Kirksville, Missouri, Marti was united in marriage to Ernie Jelmberg and to this union two daughters were born.

Marti is survived by her parents, James and Cecilia McLaughlin of Greentop, MO; two daughters, Nicole Jelmberg and Christina Jelmberg both of Puyallup, WA; one grandson, Skyler McCreary; four sisters, Lisa Reid and husband Steve of Gallatin, MO, Debra McLaughlin of Kirksville, MO, Cathy Sherrow and husband Joe of Kirksville, MO and Amy Forquer of Kirksville, MO; one aunt, Doris Burchett and special friend Brent Lawson, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Oren McLaughlin, Frances Alberts Lillard and one brother, James Oren McLaughlin.

Marti was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1979. She resided in Norman, Oklahoma several years until returning to Kirksville in 1994. At the time of her death, Marti was employed for Action Property Agency.

Public visitation will be held Monday (June 22, 2015) with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (June 23, 2015) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home, with Reverend Darrell Draper officiating. Interment will follow the service at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Wilson, Jonathan Craig, Christopher Craig, James McLaughlin, Matthew Forquer and Matt Osborn.
