Dwain Edward "Eddie" Mossbarger, 65, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Saturday (March 14, 2015) at his home.
The son of Samuel and Zerada (Rogers) Mossbarger, he was born July 26, 1949 in Novinger, Missouri.
Eddie is survived by his mother, Zerada Archer of Kirksville, MO; two daughters, Dannielle Seabrook of Ottumwa, IA and Alisha Mossbarger of Unionville, MO; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia Joan and Larry Hedgecock of Kirksville, MO and Debbie Lynne and Rich Gerleve of Shell Knob, MO; five grandchildren, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Mossbarger and step father, Wilbur "Nifty" Archer.
Eddie received his education in the Ottumwa, Iowa public schools. He resided in Shell Knob until moving to Kirksville twelve years ago. While in Ottumwa, Eddie worked for John Deere and the pipe line.
Eddie in his early years played drums in several bands, he was a great welder, and enjoyed drawing, golfing, camping, riding motorcycles and watching western movies.
He was a member of Shell Knob Eagles, Kirksville Moose Lodge and of the Freedom of the Road Riders.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (March 18, 2015) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, Missouri, with Pastor Ralph Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow the service at Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday (March 18, 2015) for one hour before the service in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Larry Walker, Dustin Gerleve, Steven Gerleve, Rich Gerleve, J.D. Sharp, Mark Rogers and Michael Davidson. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Walker and Samuel "Scooter" Gaskins.
