Stephen Wayne Mountain, 51, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The son of Billy Ernest and Verna Dean (Davis) Mountain, he was born June 9, 1964 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Stephen is survived by his mother, Verna Gardner of Kirksville, MO; one son, Brent Mountain of Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Eddie Pratte of Brazil and Kevin Billington of Green City, MO; four sisters, Karen Mountain, Karla Stansberry, and Vickie Mountain all of Kirksville, MO, and Johnna Schindlebeck of Kansas City, MO, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Kelly Mountain and Michael Potter.

Stephen had resided in Kirksville, since 2007, moving from Kansas City, Missouri. He worked in construction and did dry walling.

Stephen has been cremated and services will be held at a later date.
