Melissa Kay (Snyder) Miller, 41, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, Monday (November 2, 2015) at her home.

The daughter of Ronald Dean and Sharon Kay (Haynes) Snyder she was born November 16, 1973 in Kirksville, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Donald James Miller and to this union two sons were born.

Melissa is survived by her parents; two sons, Tyler and Tanner Miller both of Kirksville, MO, one brother, Rodney Snyder and Dayna Swisher of Kirksville, MO and two nephews, Jackson and Samuel Snyder, and one niece, Sydney Snyder.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Melissa was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1992, and attended Indian Hills, later receiving her Licensed Practical Nursing degree at Kirksville VoTech. She was currently employed at the Holiday Inn Express in Kirksville.

Melissa loved interior decorating, arranging flowers, cooking, and loved her dog Lucy. Most of all she loved time spent with her sons and watching their sporting events.

She was a member of Hamilton Street Baptist Church of Kirksville.

Public visitation is in progress and family will receive friends this evening, Wednesday (November 4, 2015) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday (November 5, 2015) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Don Miller, Sam Miller, Tyler Miller, Tanner Miller, Rodney Snyder, Jack Snyder and Sam Snyder.
