Michael David Carter, 58, of Jamestown, North Dakota, passed away Monday, November 17, 2015 at Golden Living Nursing Home in Morehead, Minnesota.

The son of Frank and Ruth (Reddington) Carter, he was born October 5, 1957 in Warren, Pennsylvania. On January 10, 2004 in Texas, Michael was united in marriage to Carrie Jan Roberts.

Michael is survived by his wife, Jan Carter of Jamestown, N. Dakota; his mother, Ruth Carter of Killeen, TX; one son, Michael Carter Jr. of TX; three daughters, Jennifer Fritz, Brandi Carter, and Tiffany Carter all of TX; one step-son, Daniel Spurgeon of Kirksville, MO; one step daughter, Tanya Spurgeon of Jamestown, N. Dakota; two brothers, Frank Carter of Azle, TX and Terry Carter of Lampass, TX; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Edward Carter.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday (November 21, 2015) at East Center Cemetery, East of Kirksville, with Pastor Robert Fredricks officiating.

Arrangements will be under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
