Lynice Jane Newton, 54, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday (June 24, 2014) unexpectedly at her home.

The daughter of Ellis Duane and Bernice Maxine (Williams) Johnson, she was born January 31, 1960 in Kirksville, Missouri.

Lynice is survived by one son, Kyle Dennis Newton of Eldorado Springs, MO; two daughters, April Lamb of Eldorado Springs, MO and Shelby Newton of Memphis, MO; two brothers, Eldon Johnson and Paul Dennis Johnson both of Kirksville, MO; one aunt, and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jason Newton in 1977 and two sisters, Bernita Johnson and Cindy Rummerfield.

Lynice has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date at the Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri.

Arrangements were taken care of by Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
