Frances Elizabeth (Swisher) Claybrook, 81, of Green Castle, Missouri, passed away Thursday (May 8, 2014) at Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville.
The daughter of Charley William and Clarice June (Anderson) Swisher, she was born January 29, 1933 in Green Castle, Missouri. On March 26, 1954 in Green Castle, Missouri, Frances was united in marriage to Loris Adam Claybrook who preceded her in death on March 24, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, William Roscoe and Carroll Swisher.
Frances is survived by two sons, Garry Claybrook and Edward Claybrook both of Green Castle, MO; two daughters and sons-in-law, Delores and Keith Roe of Kansas City, MO and Marcia and Alan McKim of Green Castle, MO; one brother, Herbert Swisher of Green Castle, MO; two sisters-in-law, Annabelle Swisher of Green Castle, MO and Eloise Swisher of Roseville, IL; six grandchildren, Brandon Claybrook and wife Alisha, Adam Claybrook and wife Jessica, Linda Nicoli and husband James, Teresa Pothier and husband Jade, Alicia Grgurich and husband Clint and Ryan McKim and wife Chante; twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Frances was a graduate from Novinger High School with the Class of 1951. She was a stay at home mom until raising her children. At that time she went to work at Twin Pines Adult Care Center where she was employed twenty-nine years until retiring in 1999.
Frances enjoyed quilting, canning, cooking Sunday dinners for her family,and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Public visitation will be held Monday (May 12, 2014) after 4:00 p.m., with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday (May 13, 2014) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Todd officiating. Interment will follow the service at Green Castle Cemetery in Green Castle, Missouri.
Pallbearers will be Jade Pothier, James Nicoli, Clint Grgurich, Devin Lewis, Gail Claybrook and Ryan McKim.
