Rusty “Rachel” James, 56, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday (November 14, 2014) at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
The son of Billy Jean and Marilyn Ruth (Reese) James, he was born September 15, 1958 in Bloomfield, Iowa.
Rusty is survived by his mother, Marilyn James of Kirksville, MO; one son, George James of Kirksville, MO; one daughter, Jennifer James of Kirksville, MO; one sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Ray Sizemore of Kirksville, MO; one grandson, Tariq Mountain; one niece, Mindy Atkins and husband Buddy of LaPlata, MO; one nephew, Michael Sizemore and wife Joan of Kirksville, MO; one great nephew, Brandon Sizemore and wife Ashley; one great niece, Mercedez Harpster; one great great nephew, Haydon Sizemore and one great great niece, Kyler Sizemore.
Rusty was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Rusty received his education in the Kirksville public schools. He drove a truck for several trucking companies for a number of years.
Rusty enjoyed drag racing, car shows, Nascar, collecting hot wheels and was a dodge person.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday (November 19, 2014) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Jason Marlin officiating. Family will receive friends on Wednesday for one hour before the service. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in rural Arbela, Missouri.
Pallbearers will be Terry Cima, Michael Sizemore, Chris Wilson, Buddy Atkins, Ray Sizemore and Drew Phillips.
