Dauna Rae Cassady, 57, of Queen City, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at her home.

The daughter of Donald and Mary (Danner) Cassady, she was born March 13, 1957 in Kirksville, Missouri.

Dauna is survived by her mother, Mary Cassady of Novinger, MO; three daughters, Shanna Cassady, Devin Cassady, and Shawnie Cassady all of Queen City, MO; four grandchildren, Conner Williams, Kaleb Williams, Brayden Payton and Robert Connell Jr.; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald Dwayne and Tracy Cassady of Gifford, MO; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ronda and Darrel Nance of Kahoka, MO and Robin Cassady of Hannibal, MO; two uncles; two aunts, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald “Hop” Cassady on March 7, 2009.

Dauna was a graduate from Novinger R-I High School with the Class of 1975 and went on to receive an LPN degree. She was employed thirteen years for K-Mart in Kirksville, before going to work for Schuyler County Nursing Home where she was employed fifteen years working with the elderly whom she enjoyed.

Dauna enjoyed playing Bingo and loved spending time with her family, especially her four grandchildren.

Dauna has been cremated and a graveside service under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home, will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at Pinkerton Cemetery, near Novinger, Missouri, with Pastor Raymond Magruder officiating.
