John Mark Crossgrove, 53, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday (March 22, 2013) at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
The son of Arthur Dale and Evelyn Bernice (Byers) Crossgrove, he was born December 27, 1959 in Kirksville, Missouri. John was married to Myra Lindquist and later married to Lynda Furney. On September 3, 2012 at Hurdland Lake in Hurdland, Missouri, John married Erin McInerney.
John is survived by his parents, Arthur and Evelyn Crossgrove of Novinger, MO; his wife Erin of the home; five sons, Jonathon Mark Crossgrove and wife Joni, and Marcus John Crossgrove and wife, Becca all of Hallsville, MO, and Dillon Gregory Crossgrove, Lance Furney Crossgrove and Cruz William Redding all of Kirksville, MO; one daughter, Alli Ann Crossgrove of Kirksville, MO; three brothers, James Dale Crossgrove of Clarksdale, MO, Paul Levi Crossgrove and wife Missy of Queen City, MO and Joel Keith Crossgrove of Novinger, MO; one sister, Leona Carol Roskamp of Sutter, IL; two grandchildren, Spencer Mark and Parker Thomas Crossgrove, as well as several nieces and nephews.
John was a graduate from Putnam County R-I High School. He was employed thirty-four years as parts manager at Jim Robertson Chevrolet in Kirksville.
John enjoyed hunting, fishing, stock car races, cutting and burning brush and collecting frogs.
He attended the Hazel Creek Free Will Baptist Church of Kirksville.
Public visitation will be held Friday (March 29, 2013) with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday (March 30, 2013) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Brother John Howell officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Lindquist, Sonny Findling, Richard McBee, Charley Wheeler, Ray Jagger and Danny Daniel. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Phelps and Terry Kiley.
Private graveside services will follow the service.
