Janelle Ann (Yowell) Watt, 74, of Greentop, Missouri, passed away Thursday (October 31, 2013) at her home under Hospice care.
The daughter of Dental A. and Iris Ilene (Douglas) Yowell, she was born December 1, 1938 in Pure Air, Missouri. On August 8, 1955 in Kirksville, Missouri, Janelle was united in marriage to Stewart Watt.
Janelle is survived by her husband, Stewart of fifty-eight years; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Michael and Penny Watt of Kirksville, MO, Mark Watt of Greentop, MO, Doug and Cathy Watt of Queen City, MO and Jeff Watt of Greentop, MO; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Jim Russ of Kansas City, MO, Debbie and Doug Pearson of Greentop, MO and Cheryl and Jeff Watson of Queen City, MO; one brother, Gary Yowell of Cumberland Furnace, TN; one sister, Karen Meeker of Kirksville, MO; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three grandchildren, Dustin Watt, Waylon Pearson and Mark Thomas Watt Jr.; son-in-law, Dwight Pearson and daughter-in-law, Jeanie Watt.
Janelle was raised in Kirksville and received her education in the Kirksville public schools. She was employed a number of years at Ortec. At the time of her death she had resided the past forty-five years in Greentop, Missouri.
She enjoyed gardening, ball games and Nascar races.
Janelle attended the Greentop Christian Church and later the Methodist Church where she was active in the Ladies Church Group. She also enjoyed being a Red Hatter.
Public visitation will be held Wednesday (November 6, 2013) with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday (November 7, 2013) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home, with Pastor Ralph Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow the service at Greentop Cemetery in Greentop.
Pallbearers will be Josh Dole, Jeremy Pearson, Jason Pearson, Ashley Watson, Robbie Small Matt Creason, Nick Oliver, and Jeffrey Sharp. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Pfeiffer, Leon Shafer, Lonnie Burns, Charlie Long, J.C. Summers, and Emery Munn.
