Anna Marie Vollmer, 92, of Gorin, Missouri, passed away Wednesday (October 16, 2013) at Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville, Missouri.

The daughter of Charles and Martha (Gamber) Schott, she was born October 25, 1920 in Owensboro, Kentucky. On March 18, 1939 in Peoria, Illinios, Anna was united in marriage to James Franklin Louis Vollmer, who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, and two sons: Carl Robert and Larry Charles Volmer.

Anna is survived by her sister, Ruth C. Bueche of Rockford Illinois; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Vollmer; two grandchildren: Laurie Jo Elder and husband Jeff of Wyaconda, Missouri, and James Richard Vollmer of Peoria, Illinois; four great grandchildren: Jessica (Shawn) Burgess, Patricia Franklin, Jeffrey Elder, and Dustin (Heidi) Elder; and seven great, great grandchildren: Caden, Preston, Madison, Blake, Connor, Alexa, and Emily.

More than anything, Anna loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed baking, playing cards, collecting pennies, working in her yard and traveling. Anna was a member of the General Baptist Church in St. Louis, Missouri.

A public visitation for Anna will be held Saturday (October 19, 2013) at 11:00 PM in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, Missouri. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, following the visitation, at the Gorin Cemetery in Gorin, Missouri.
