Robert E. Lefort, 43, of LaPlata, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday (September 5, 2012).

The son of Daniel and Kitty (Weindruch) Lefort, he was born December 8, 1968 in Monmouth, Illinois.

Robert is survived by his mother, Kitty Jones of LaPlata, MO; one son, Jacoby Lefort of Hannibal, MO; one sister, Malorie Parton-Baker and husband David of Elmer, MO and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was a graduate from Novinger High School. While in high school, he joined the National Guard Artillery unit in Kirksville. Robert worked in dry walling for a number of years, joining the Labor Union.

He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, collecting artifacts, riding his Harley motorcycle and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Robert has been cremated and a memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Saturday (September 8, 2012) in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Family will receive friends on Saturday (September 8, 2012) for one hour before the memorial service.
