Robert E. “Bob” Miller, 82, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday (June 3, 2012) at Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville.

The son of Fred Victor and Wanda Lorraine (Briggenherst) Miller, he was born April 9, 1930 in Kirksville, Missouri. On February 9, 1969 in Kirksville, Bob was united in marriage to Alice M. Wheeler who preceded him in death on March 1, 2006.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

Bob is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, James and Vanessa Miller and Dennis Miller all of Kirksville, MO; three grandchildren, Jason Miller of Pacific, MO, Janna Miller of Brookfield, MO and Justin Miller of Kirksville, MO, as well as his great aunt, Cleta Miller of Kirksville, MO.

Bob was a life long resident of Kirksville and received his education in the Kirksville public schools. Bob was employed for over forty years for Wrights Tire & Appliance and for the past ten years owned and operated the Bob Miller Second Hand Shop.

He was a member of the Missouri National Guard and lifetime member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1721.

Public visitation will be held Tuesday (June 5, 2012) with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday (June 6, 2012) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home, with Pastor Ralph Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow the service at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Larry Herron, Bill Davison, Jaye Miller, Joe Zeigler, Orlan Ray and Spencer Berry.
