Jenrose Evonne (Pope) Miller, 85, of Novinger, Missouri, passed away Monday (December 31, 2012) at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The daughter of Ernest Mike and Bonnie Marie (Smith) Pope she was born November 5, 1927 in Youngstown, Missouri. On February 12, 1947 in Novinger, Missouri, Jenrose was united in marriage to John D. Miller who preceded her in death on August 21, 2012, after sixty-five years of marriage.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters.

Jenrose is survived by two sons, J.D. Miller and Marion Miller both of Connelsville, MO; two daughters, Linda J. Pickett and Brenda J. Tuttle both of Connelsville, MO; one brother, William “Bill” Pope; five sisters, Joanne Pearce, Patty Brawner, Carol (Steele) Martin, Adalee Glaspie and Dorothy Patten, as well as seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Jenrose loved farming and raising cattle along side of her husband John D for sixty-five years in the Connelsville area. She also enjoyed canning and freezing. For a number of years, Jenrose ran the Republican Headquarters and served on the Republican Central Committee.

Jenrose was a very devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother and always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren.

Public visitation is in progress and family will receive friends this evening, Wednesday (January 2, 2013) from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. (January 3, 2013) at Novinger Cemetery in Novinger, with Chaplain Carol Davenport officiating.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Blackorby, Sarah Eads, Kail Shumaker, Josh Shumaker, Kristi Zentz, Chad Miller and Denton Miller.
