Tom Keith “TK” Murphy, 70, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday (November 28, 2012) at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

The son of Thomas James Fay and Juanita (Johnson) Murphy, he was born December 27, 1941 in Kirksville, Missouri. On December 11, 1976 in Auxvasse, Missouri, Tom was united in marriage to Carole Marie Morris Collins.

Tom is survived by his wife Carole of the home; her daughter, Sheila Dawn (Collins) Hubbard and Husband Alan of Jackson, MO; two granddaughters, Alyssia Danielle Hubbard and Trinity Andraya Hubbard both of Jackson, MO; one brother-in-law, Charles Morris and wife Helen, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1966; his mother in 2006; one uncle Keith Murphy and a brother-in-law, Paul E. Morris.

Tom was a graduate from Deep River-Millersburg High School in Iowa and attended Northeast Missouri State Teachers College in Kirksville. Tom had resided in Kirksville, MO since 1975 and established Circle M Music. He was also involved in an antique business several years.

Tom served on the Kirksville Auxiliary Police Department.

It was Tom’s wish to be cremated and a Memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 7:00 p.m. Saturday (December 1, 2012) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Charles Jackson presiding.

Family will receive friends one hour on Saturday (December 1, 2012) before the Memorial service in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.
