Paul Edgar Morris, 79, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Saturday (October 27, 2012) at his home under Hospice care.

The son of Alonzo Edgar and Lissie Marie (Munn) Morris, he was born September 22, 1933 in Adair County, Missouri. On December 24, 1951 in Kirksville, Missouri, Paul was united in marriage to Louise Marie Hendricks.

Paul is survived by his wife Louise of sixty years; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Barry Sanders of Kirksville, MO, Vicki and Gary Watts of Argyle, TX and Paula and Bruce McCartney of Kirksville, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Helen Morris of Kirksville, MO; one sister and brother-in-law, Carole and Tom Murphy of Kirksville, MO; five grandchildren, Alon Sanders, John Sanders and wife Danielle, Briana McCartney, Brice McCartney and Ryan Watts; one great granddaughter, Lucy Sanders; two sisters-in-law, Linda Sizemore and husband Lee of Prophetstown, IL and Donna Langdon of Moberly, MO; two nieces; one nephew and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Paul was a life long resident of Adair County and received his education in the Kirksville public schools. He worked for Pete Anesi Packing Plant for several years before working hauling milk and water. Paul was employed as a night truck driver with the Kirksville Postal Service and drove a tank truck for Morris Oil. Paul last worked as manager of Morris 66 Service Station where he worked until his retirement in 1999.

Paul’s pride and joy was spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also loved watching Nascar races on T.V. and his burgundy 78 Chevy Silverado truck.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday (November 1, 2012) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Charles Jackson presiding. Interment will follow the service at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.

Family will receive friends on Thursday (November 1, 2012) for one hour before the service in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Highland Park Cemetery, Cain-Ford Cemetery or to Hospice of Northeast Missouri. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
