Doreen Kay (Yantis) Allard, 57, of Ethel, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday (April 17, 2013) at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

The daughter of Bob and Dorothy (Martin) Yantis she was born September 27, 1955 in Kirksville, Missouri. On September 30, 1989 in Kirksville, Missouri, Doreen was united in marriage to Gail Allard.

Doreen is survived by her husband Gail of twenty-three years; two brothers, Dale and Penny Yantis of Greentop, MO, and Donnie and Joy Yantis of Kirksville, MO; two nieces, Chelle Cima of Kirksville, MO and Cassi Yantis of Newark, MO; three step-children, Stephanie Thomas-Dodson of Lenexa, KS, Rebekah Allard Smith of San Antonio, TX, and Gail Martin Allard II, of Temple, TX; three great-nephews, Jayden, Cima and Dalton West and one grand-niece, Kyleigh Cima; three granddaughters, Ocean and Sienna Smith, and four nieces and nephews, Gary Allard II, Charles Allard, Vicki Allard Russel and Susan Stewart.

Doreen was preceded in death by her parents.

Doreen enjoyed quilting, sewing, music, dancing, mushroom hunting and especially crappy fishing. She especially loved to find the best bargains for the whole country side. She loved her Yorkshire Terriers dogs and rescued many animals.

She was very much loved and will be missed by all.

Doreen was a member of the Ethel Presbyterian Church and Professional Women’s Sorority of Kirksville.

Public visitation will be held Saturday (April 20, 2013) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday (April 21, 2013) at the Ethel Presbyterian Church in Ethel, Missouri, with visitation prior from 1:00 to 3:00.
