Chris Lee Morehead, 64, of Kirksville, Missouri passed away unexpectedly, Monday, March 17, 2025 at his home.

Born May 7, 1960 in Kirksville, Missouri, Chris was the son of the late Bill and Geneva (Hays) Morehead. He was also preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Raymond Rehm and Tony Groseclose, and his step-father, Phillip Klingsmith. On December 22, 1978, Chris married Pam Conner and to this union two sons were born. On July 29, 2022 in Macon, Missouri, Chris married Corena Groseclose.

Chris is survived by his wife Corena of the home; three sons, Casey (Crystal) Morehead of LaPlata, MO, Clinton (Emeritus) Morehead of Lancaster, MO, and Corey (Justine) Cannan of Lockport, IL; two daughters Camille Grens of Kirksville, MO, and Shannon (Roy) Downing of Baring, MO; one brother, Steve Morehead of Kirksville, MO; five sisters, Kathi (Chuck) Braaten, and Vicki Rehm all of Kirksville, MO, Debbie (Mallory) Jackson of Greentop, MO, Laura (Tony) Smith of Savana, GA, and Melissa (Joe) Dimmitt of Kirksville, MO; six grandchildren, Renee Morehead, Julianna Morehead, Journey Morehead, Austin Cannan, Cadence Grens, and River Cannan; one great-great grandchild, Hayden Cannan; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Most of all he also leaves behind his beloved companion "DOG".

Chris received his education in the Kirksville public schools. He was employed at Florsheim Shoe Factory, Jones Brothers DX Station, Hunter Tire Shop and Campus Fina Station, and from 1981 to 2018 worked as a pipe fitter/plumber.

Chris enjoyed spending time with family and friends, Reese's peanut butter cups, Red Diamond sweet tea, old country music, collecting arrowheads and old items, and loved riding Harley Davidson's and trips to Sturgis.

Chris has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
