William Mark Ratliff, 73, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025 at his home.

Born February 26, 1952 in Kirksville, Missouri. Mark was the son of the late George William and Daisy Pearl (Crout) Ratliff. He was also preceded in death by a son, Peter Lorence. On October 5, 1978 Mark was united in marriage to Marilyn Lorence.

Mark is survived by his wife Marilyn of forty-six years; two sons, John Ratliff of Kirksville, MO, and Jeff Ratliff of Newark, MO; one sister, Isabelle Jackson of Forsyth, MO; five grandchildren, Chole and Gabriel Ratliff; Raven, Jackson Caleb, and Broderick Ratliff; as well as two nephews, Stacy and Chalon.

Mark was raised in Gifford and Yarrow communities of Southwest Adair County and Northwest Macon counties. He was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1970. For a number of years Mark farmed some , worked in construction, and worked with the street department for the City of Kirksville.

Mark enjoyed horses, hunting, fishing, farming. and life down by the river. He loved his family and enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren.

Mark has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Arrangements were taken care of by Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
